With the Project List you can organize your web site. All files, URLs, etc. which are involved can be added to your project. Using components from your Project List ensures that all element URLs are correct, except those from external references.
At the beginning you are given the standard folders for Documents, Media, URLs and mail addresses. Using the "Project" menu you can add other folders and files. Please note that it is also possible to add files using drag & drop. If you insert a file a corresponding Alias is created.
If you choose "Verify All" from the "Project" menu golive automatically checks if all local files are still correct. This avoids manual checking and saves a lot of time. If a file has been removed from its location a warning is issued.
You have also the possibility to define pages of your project as templates. To do this, select the page and choose "Stationary" from the "Project" menu.
Using the Project List you have the choice to use URLs relative the project file or to the current document. If you decide to use project-relative URLs keep in mind that golive can only display images and links correctly if the corresponding project file is open.
